This Lincoln Logs Horseshoe Hill Station set has 83 pieces, including real wood logs, a cowboy, a horse, a roof and a door.  The instructions are easy to follow to build the set, but you can also create your own engineering masterpiece by using your imagination with the pieces.  While my son is a little young to be following the directions on his own to build this set, he does love to build his own structures with the logs.  My favorite feature is that the set comes with the box and lid you can store the set in after play time is done so you don’t have pieces scattered all over the house.

As a mom to a very extremely active 4 year old, sometimes I just want to relax and tune out the world and the constant noise, noise, noise (now I sound like the Grinch, eh?). By the time my husband gets home from work I am ready to spend some time without anyone bothering me. One of my favorite things to do to unwind in the evening is to listen to music and read magazines or the newspaper. I currently listen to most of my music off of my circa-2005 iPod and those little ear buds that came with it. If you are a parent to a teen you have probably heard them ask for a pair of expensive, celebrity endorsed headphones, but once you saw the price you just about fainted. I have to confess, I haven’t bought a new pair of winter boots in over ten years.  I still have those boots and they are going strong, but man, they are U-G-L-Y.  No style whatsoever.  This year I was on the lookout for a pair of stylish, yet practical winter boots.  The brand that kept coming up with boots I liked was Kamik.
