When P&G offered to send me a selection of their products, I couldn’t refuse.  You know why? Its because their products are consistently those that I buy for my household because of their quality and effectiveness.  I would be lying to say that I always buy the cheapest products possible. Not true. That’s not what I’m about or what this blog is about.  I will spend extra for Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y.

If you take a look under my kitchen sink, its looks like a P&G storeroom, no joke.  I’ve tried probably a dozen different cleaners for my laminate wood floors and the only cleaner that doesn’t leave the floor still looking streaky and dirty is Mr. Clean liquid cleaner.  I’m a HUGE fan of the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers.  My walls thank me for using them. With a little one, my walls take quite the beating between smudges and scrapes from toys and dirty hands, I use my Magic Erasers on a weekly basis.  One of my new favorite P&G products is the Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Remover Duo.  Every other product I’ve tried makes my skin go crazy with a rash or breaking out into pimples.  Its slightly pricey at about $29, but its well worth it in my opinion.

One of my goals as a family this year is to eat healthier and that includes eating more seafood like fish and shrimp.  But there are some nights where I don’t have the time or energy to make a meal totally from scratch.  I’ve been a big fan of Gorton’s Seafood Simply Bake Haddock for a while now, because it tastes great and it cooks inside of the package so there is no mess to clean up.  The Simply Bake Haddock is one of 20 Gorton’s Seafood products that are 200 calories or less per serving, so its a good healthier choice to make.

My husband is a huge fan of shrimp and is currently eating a low carb diet, so he created a dish with Gorton’s Seafood Classic Grilled Shrimp, another one of their products that are under 200 calories per serving.  The Classic Grilled Shrimp has just 110 calories and 3 grams of fat per serving.  He sauteed some shredded cabbage with with a teaspoon of olive oil and fresh garlic, salt and pepper and then topped it with the shrimp.

Winter is really tough on my skin, it gets so dry, especially my hands because I don’t like to wear gloves.  To tackle my toughest dry skin situations I use Carmex Healing Cream.  It works wonders on my hands, without the gross greasy feeling that some lotions give you.  Carmex Healing Cream is packed with lanolin and mimics your own skin’s natural lipid layer to maximize healing.  For everyday use, Carmex Hydrating Lotion is what I use to keep the scaly winter skin from getting the best of me.  The lotion is loaded with vitamin E and ultra concentrated aloe vera that gives your skin some serious hydration without the greasiness.   Even my husband uses Carmex, he stole my tube of the Healing Cream to keep in his desk at work.  Because he works in an auto shop, he washes his hands a lot and that dries them out.  The Healing Cream keeps his hands “manly soft”, at least that’s how he describes it.
