So we survived Sandy with barely a scratch. Although it got quite windy, with gusts over 50 mph and lots of rain, there was no real damage. We lost power for about 15 hours, which is never pleasant when you have a rambunctious 4 year old and new puppy you just got that wasn’t thrilled about having to go outside during the hurricane. But it could have been a lot worse!
More about the puppy. Her name is Lexie and she is a labrador retriever/border collie mix (we think). She spent the first 8 months of her life as a stray or in a shelter, so she is trying very hard to learn manners. Its been a challenging experience to say the least. She likes to “play bite” and lick, a lot! But she is very tolerant of the good natured abuse my 4 year old dishes out to her.
