Another FRANKEN-storm?

Okay, so last Halloween we had a FREAK snowstorm and received about 16 inches of snow. The snow didn’t last long since the ground wasn’t frozen yet, but we lost power (and heat & water) for 36 hours.  While it may be common for some areas of the country to get snow that early, it certainly wasn’t normal for us. We usually don’t have our first measurable snow fall until December, maybe the end of November at the earliest.

This year we have the chance that Hurricane Sandy will hit us in New England on Tuesday and Wednesday and a very slight chance part of the precipitation could be in the form of snow. I am not sure what’s worse, hurricane winds and rain or snow on Halloween? Time to rethink the costume to be warmer and waterproof!

Trick-or-Treating with over a foot of snow on the ground!
