Don’t let this technology scare you. It works very simply. The Soladey ionic brush has a light-activated titanium dioxide rod (semiconductor) inside the handle. When exposed to any light source (a fluorescent bathroom light, a plain light bulb or sunlight), the photo-sensitive titanium rod inside the brush converts light into negatively-charged ions (electrons). The rod then releases these ions, which blend with saliva to attract positive (hydrogen) ions from the acid in the dental plaque on your teeth. The acid is then neutralized and plaque is disintegrated. This technology is so effective you do not even need to use toothpaste. However, I personally find that I like to use a small amount to just have that minty fresh feeling in my mouth.
I’ve had my share of dental problems even though I religiously floss and brush. I recently had my regular 6 month check up and my hygienist told me that my teeth look great. I have been only using this brush for a few weeks, but the results so far are quite impressive. I previously used a very expensive electric toothbrush, which I was happy with, but now after trying the Soladey J3X, I am absolutely sold on the idea of an ionic brush.
