Rite Aid doesn’t do “money makers” you cannot use a coupon that is more than the cost of the item and expect credit. It is in their coupon policy. They can manually modify the coupon to the price of the item. Trying to get over on the cashier is just plain devious and greedy and it could cost them their job. Some of the coupon policies are confusing for cashiers to learn and understand if they themselve aren’t coupon users. Have a heart and some patience and do the right thing.
What are you talking about? When one uses a $1 off coupon on an item that is for example $4.99, bringing your out of pocket cost to $3.99. But then there is a $4 UP Reward on it that will print at the end of your receipt (or loaded to your card), that makes a net “money maker” of .01! I agree with you that Rite Aid does not allow “overage” on items costing less than the value of the coupon and I have never said that you should try to do that and nor do I try to “get over” on the cashier. So go preach somewhere else if you want, but not here.
