One of my son’s new obsession is the Muppets. Its actually one of the few movies I don’t mind watching with him; but that’s beside the point. He is also a very active little boy and is constantly getting scrapes and cuts and we go through lots of bandages and he loves Band-Aids’ character bandages like Cars. Band-Aid also just came out with Muppets bandages, how cool is that? It just so happens that Band-Aid just rolled out a new (and free!) app for iPhone 4, 4S, iPad2 or new iPad that brings the Muppet Band-Aids to life.
The Band-Aid Magic Vision app uses Augmented Reality technology to merge your child’s real-life surroundings with graphics displayed on the digital screen to unlock a special world where Disney’s The Muppets characters come to life to distract your child from their boo boo. All you have to do is first download the free app from the Apple iTunes store and then scan the image of any Muppets Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages to make Kermit, Miss Piggy, or Gonzo come to life.
My son loved that when you tilt the iPad back and forth, Kermit “swings” and the fast you tilt it, the faster he swings. You can also have Miss Piggy or Gonzo come to life as well.
The Muppets Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages app can be downloaded for free from the Apple iTunes store and is compatible with iPhone 4, 4S, iPad2 or the new iPad.
